Unicorns of Love announce departure from the EU LCS

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!

The Unicorns of Love have announced that they will not be participating in the 2019 European League of Legends Championship Series. In early October, ESPN had reported that Giants Gaming, Team ROCCAT and the Unicorns of love didn’t make it through Riot Games’ selection process for the upcoming franchise system. In a video posted on YouTube, former LCS coach Fabian “Sheepy” Mallant confirmed that at least their team won’t be part of the league anymore.

Throughout all the years, Unicorns of Love remained to be a family business and couldn’t provide the financial backing necessary to make the cut into the upcoming EU LCS. From now on, the Unicorns will put their focus on the Premier Tour. The Premier Tour is the regional tournament circuit for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where the winner is awarded a spot in the EU Masters.
