G2 Esports ventures into PUBG

With G2 Esports, the next German esports organization enters competitive PLAYERUNKNOWN’s BATTLEGROUNDS. Despite the fact that at least half a dozen top performing teams are still unsigned, G2 Esports decided to go for a line-up formed by former professional Call of Duty and Overwatch players. However, the new team has no track-record in any high tier PUBG competition.

Statement by Mark “phantasy” Pinney

“PUBG has grown excessively over recent months and although the competitive aspects of the game are still developing we are thrilled to be representing G2 moving forward. Our team consists of highly skilled players who are passionate and motivated to succeed and with support from an organisation that shares the same values such as G2 we are very much looking forward to the future.”

After another German organization, the BIG Clan joined the competitive PLAYERUNKNOWN’s BATTLEGROUNDS landscape earlier this week, G2 Esports is one more franchise that doesn’t want to miss out on the huge growth opportunities that the scene offers.
