The deal is a traditional sponsorship, with the team receiving an undisclosed amount of money. In return, Foot Locker’s logo will be present on Splyce’s 2018 Summer Split jersey.
This deal is exclusive to the League of Legends team – no other esports team is affected by this.
Foot Locker is one of the world’s largest footwear retailers, with an annual revenue of 7.782 billion US-Dollars in 2017.
This deal could be an important step for Splyce’s EU LCS Partnership Application, as consistent revenue streams will be a key part of Riots evaluation process.
Splyce finished the 2018 EU LCS Spring Split in 3rd place, with Jungler Xerxe being voted into the EU LCS’ Allstar Squad and coach Peter Dun being voted Coach of the Split.
