The North American esports organization FaZe Clan announced that they have acquired the former Gorilla Core Esports PUBG line-up. The team consists of Max “MeTor” Lion, Anssi “Mxey” Pekkonen, Jere “Jembty” Kauppinen, Adrian “Haxete” Blom, and David „fuzzface” Tillberg Persson.
Statement from the team’s manager and coach Ramon “Zephyr” Perez:
I’ve been following FaZe since CoD Days. As soon as I heard about the organizations reaching out left, right, and center. I immediately said; what about FaZe Clan? Then it happened! I’m beyond thrilled and we’ll all work hard to prove that we are a top tier team. #FaZeUp
Statement from the Gorilla Core CEO, Bruno Santos:
“To the FaZe Clan fans,
Due to private issues, team captain Max “MeTor” Lion won’t be attending the IEM Oakland PUBG Invitational on November 18/19, 2017. To resolve this matter, David “fuzzface” Tillberg Persson recently left the Team Kinguin line-up to join the team for the competition. However, it is unclear if he will remain a part of the team after the invitational.
