Bwipo wins Esports PC Rookie of the Year at Esports Awards 2018

Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau (19) takes home the title as the Esports PC Rookie of the Year at the Esports Awards 2018. He had been nominated among names like Eric “Licorice” Ritchie, Robin “ropz” Kool, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, or Bang “JJoNaK” Sung-hyeon.

After concluding his first professional season as a starter for Fnatic, Riot Games invented the one-time EU LCS Most Outstanding Rookie of 2018 Award to honor Bwipo’s outstanding performance, as he wasn’t eligible to win Rookie of the Split.

Just weeks back, Bwipo and his team Fnatic reached the final of the 2018 League of Legends Worlds Championship in South Korea. It’s been the best result by a European team since Fnatic’s title during Season 1 in 2011.
